The grandson of late televangelist Rev Billy Graham has been hospitalized with COVID-19 and is in critical condition.
Jonathan Lotz, 51, who like his grandfather also runs a ministry, is currently in the ICU at an undisclosed hospital.
His mother, Anne Graham Lotz, said Jonathan has not been placed on a ventilator and is 'physically exhausted yet Spiritually overflowing'.
It is unclear if Jonathan received the COVID-19 vaccine. WRAL outreached to his organization, Jonathan Lotz Ministries, which reportedly declined to comment on his current condition or vaccination status.
In a Facebook post published Sunday evening, Anne shared that Jonathan had texted her with an update condition on his condition earlier that morning.
He told her that although he was tired, he was 'continually pouring over the Psalms of Ascent (120-134) in ICU' and had the 'the privilege of sharing Jesus with the ER & ICU staff!'
Anne, along with their entire family, is asking people to keep Jonathan in their prayers.
'Just please don't let up,' she pleaded on social media. 'Pray he will not have to go on a ventilator, that his oxygen levels would increase, that his lungs will be strengthened, healed and that his health will be fully restored—with no long term complications. My heart is filled with gratitude for your prayers.'
Anne's recent request for prayers echoed an earlier post announcing Jonathan's hospitalization.
'Fifty years ago I could hold my son in my arms,' she wrote on Saturday. 'Now I have placed him in the arms of Jesus. He has been hospitalized with COVID and is in critical condition.
'I am asking you to pray for Jonathan's swift healing and recovery.'
