Old Soul’s Farm expands produce recall due to possible health risk

ST. PARIS — Old Soul’s Farm LLC, located in St. Paris, has expanded a voluntary recall of greenhouse leafy green products due to a possible health risk.

The recall comes after the company says it received a positive test for Listeria monocytogenes from a routine facility test of rainwater holding tanks in the greenhouse facility, according to a U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recall notice.

On Thursday, the company added additional “best by dates” and additional products.

The recall includes Arugula, Basil, Finstar, Green Bibb, Romaine, and Spring Mix products.

A positive test was also reported after testing from a customer who received contaminated Basil product, according to the company.

The company says its bulk product has been affected by the recall, which sizes range from 1-25 pounds clear bags.

The affected lot dates of bulk product can be found here. If bought in bulk, the lot code is located on the case label.

The positive test for Listeria monocytogenes in the product has been determined that it was an isolated event, the company said. No illnesses have been reported.

Anyone who purchased the possibly affected products are advised to not consume and dispose of it immediately.
