Courtney Stodden gives Chrissy Teigen career advice to help her get out of ‘cancel club’

Courtney Stodden has some advice for Chrissy Teigen: Stop “griping” about the “cancel club,” and actually get out and do something.

Courtney’s suggestion comes just days after Chrissy spoke with TMZ reporters regarding her cancellation status, vowing “not get involved in anyone’s s*** ever again.” The “Cravings” author also added that she was unsure how long she’d remain a member of “cancel club,” saying, “I don’t know, it could be forever. I have no idea. I don’t know. All I can do is live my life and take care of my kids and family. Everyone else can make their choice.”

In May, Courtney, who is now 26, toldThe Daily Beast that Teigen cyber-bullied them when they were just 16 and married to a man more than twice their age. “She wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap,’” Courtney said of messages Chrissy had sent. “[She would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.’”

Chrissy has faced serious criticism for cyber-bullying someone so young and vulnerable, and has since publicly apologised, both on Twitter and via lengthy Medium post. Critics aren’t exactly buying it, however, and so Chrissy joined the “cancel club” — or so she says.

“Going outside sucks and doesn’t feel right, being at home alone with my mind makes my depressed head race,” Chrissy said on Instagram, regarding her experience in “cancel club.”  “Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle lot. Only a few understand it and it’s impossible to know til [sic] you’re in it....It just sucks. There is no winning.”

Chrissy also claimed to have personally contacted Courtney to apologise.

“I have reached out to [Courtney],” Chrissy said. “I texted.”

However, Courtney claims Chrissy hasn’t actually gotten in touch at all. While appearing at a PETA fundraiser on Capitol Hill, TMZ queried Courtney about whether or not Chrissy had in fact reached out.

“You know what, I haven’t received anything from her,” Courtney told reporters. “I don’t know what she’s talking about. I don’t know, she’s never reached out to my team. I never got any emails, anything.” Courtney did, however, have a suggestion for the self-proclaimed member of the “cancel club.”

“I have a message for her….I think that continuing to gripe about being in ‘cancel club’ or whatever that is — I think, step out, take your part, and maybe do something with charities,” Courtney suggested.

“Step out, you know. Do something anti-bullying. If she really means what she says, get out,” they continued.”  “Do something and it really helps the spirit, it does.”
