Crystal Palace close in on £20m deal for Lyon defender Joachim Andersen after his impressive loan spell at Fulham last season... and Eagles also remain in talks over a move for Schalke's Ozan Kabak

Crystal Palace are closing on a £20million deal for Lyon defender Joachim Andersen and remain in talks over a deal for Schalke's Ozan Kabak.

Palace are hopeful of concluding a deal for Denmark international Andersen, 25, this week. The centre-back was on loan at Fulham last season. 

Palace have already signed Marc Guehi from Chelsea but have lost Gary Cahill, Scott Dann and Mamadou Sakho from last year's squad. Kabak, who was on loan at Liverpool, could cost around £10m.

Tottenham previously expressed an interest in signing Andersen.

Manager Patrick Vieira has been heavily active in the transfer market since his appointment as Palace boss.

Palace signed defender Marc Guehi from Chelsea, while they have also brought in midfielders Michael Olise and Jacob Montes as well as goalkeeper Remi Matthews. 

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is a loan target for Palace, but Leeds are also interested.

However, according to The Sun defender Gary Cahill has turned down the offer of a new contract from Palace.
