Katie Price has revealed she's hoping to fall pregnant with her sixth child, but is also considering surrogacy.

The former glamour model, 43, has made no secret of her desire to have a baby with fiancé Carl Woods, 31, previously sharing that their recent trips abroad were 'baby making' holidays.

Now Katie is looking at the best way to make her dream a reality, revealing she's considering having a fifth caesarean - despite being warned by doctors of the risks.
Planning ahead: Katie Price, 43, is deciding on whether to go ahead with IVF and have a baby by fifth caesarean, or whether to have a surrogate for her first baby with fiancé Carl Woods, 31

During an appearance on Australian news channel Studio 10 on Friday, she said: 'I've decided (to have more kids) as they get older, and they leave the house, you know I'm so nurturing.

'But because I've had four caesareans, they only recommend three. I have seen a gynaecologist and they said that I would be able to have another one. If not, I would do surrogacy.'

There's usually no limit to the number of caesarians you can have. But the more caesareans you have, the longer each operation will take, and the higher your risk of complications becomes.

Risks can include, uterine rupture, heavy bleeding, injury to the bladder or bowel and hernias.
Speaking out: During an appearance on Australian news channel Studio 10 on Friday, she said: 'I've decided (to have more kids) as they get older, and they leave the house, you know I'm so nurturing'

Katie continued: 'I'm not finished yet, I definitely want more babies. When you get old, I might look young and act young, but our bodies inside are getting old whether we like it or not.

How Many C-Sections Can You Have?

Health risks increase with each subsequent cesarean, yet some women are able to have six or more without complication

Certain risks increase with repeat cesareans. These include:

Uterine rupture

Heavy bleeding that leads to blood transfusion

Injury to the bladder or bowel

Hysterectomy at the time of delivery (The risk rises to more than 1 percent chance after a woman's third C-section, and it soars to nearly 9 percent after the sixth surgery)

Abnormal implantation of the placenta

Adhesions that develop with increasing thickness each time a new C-section is performed

Diastasis recti (when the stomach muscles separate and the abdomen protrudes)

Numbness and pain at the incision site

Endometriosis in the incision

Every woman is different, so doctors need to analyze each woman's health, history, and concerns before deciding on the right path.

'So the next baby I have I will have to do IVF, I already know that. So that is another journey that I will talk about.'

Katie is mum to son Harvey, 18, with her footballer ex Dwight Yorke, and co-parents her children Junior, 15, Princess, 13, with ex-husband Peter Andre.

The star also has son Jett, seven, and daughter Bunny, six, with her ex-husband Kieran Hayler.

The reality star, who recently had further plastic surgery with lip and eye lifts, promised she would become a mother again when she paid tribute to fiancé Carl in a touching Father's Day tribute last month.

Posting a sweet selection of family snaps, the TV personality gushed over how the car dealer cares for her kids.

She also made him a special promise, writing: 'You have been amazing with my children and one day we will have our own'.

Carl has become a significant part of Katie's family's life since they got together in July 2019.

Although Katie and Carl currently have no children together she vowed they would have a baby of their own 'one day'.

Responding to the sweet Father's Day message, Carl commented: 'Thank you dolly. They are all great kids.'

Katie has made no secret of her desire to have children with her beau.

Speaking to The Sun, the TV personality previously admitted they had turned to doctors for help to conceive.

She said: 'We’re going to call the baby Miracle. I’m doing this for my mum. She told me to have IVF so she can see us have kids. It will break my heart if she can’t.'

Katie added that she initially thought it would be "easy" to get pregnant again and she and Carl have never used contraception because they "knew they'd be together forever".

She said: 'It has not happened naturally, unfortunately. I thought it would be easy as I’ve never had to plan it before. It’s always just happened.'
