Police say a man was shot and killed outside the Hunters Point Apartments complex in Chesapeake early Friday morning.
At 12:22 a.m., officers responded to the 4200 block of Reid Street.
At the scene they discovered one man suffering from a gunshot wound outside the apartments. Officials identified him as Malik Elijah Perry, 20.
Police and firefighters began life-saving measures before he was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
This incident is currently under investigation. No information about the suspect has been released.
