Disney Hall of Presidents adding Biden; Trump moving to former presidents stage

Disney announced on Tuesday that it is adding President Biden to the Hall of Presidents at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

The company said in a blog post that they’ve been working to add Biden over the past few months. The attraction is set to debut in August.

“Just as Walt [Disney] envisioned, creative teams have been busy programming an Audio-Animatronics replica of the President, pairing it with a delivery of the presidential oath of office recorded at the White House by President Biden himself just for the attraction,” Disney said.

Guests visiting the Hall of Presidents will see the replica standing next to a table featuring peach blossoms, meant to represent Biden’s home state of Delaware.

Also on the table will be a pair of aviators, a nod to his “proclivity for the sunglasses,” Disney said.

Former President Trump, meanwhile, will be moved on stage among the other former presidents.

The statute had been mocked for its appearance since its debut in 2017. Live security was needed to help shield the statute, and large spikes were added to protect it, the Orlando Weekly has reported.

The Hall of Presidents has been at Magic Kingdom since the park opened in 1971.
