Bengals announce new efforts to improve gameday atmosphere at Paul Brown Stadium

The Cincinnati Bengals will roll out some new ideas in 2021 to improve the gameday experience for fans at Paul Brown Stadium.

Chief among those is using the throne from the jersey redesign reveal to create a new event at the stadium.

Team executive Elizabeth Blackburn elaborated on the idea:

“We are adding a stage to house the throne from #NewStripes and host new traditions this fall. We want the throne to live on in the stadium to ensure that our fans share that “King of The Jungle” mentality. Our new pre-game “Ruler of The Jungle” ceremony will incorporate the throne as the gameday “ruler” will lead fans in our signature Who Dey chant to get the crowd roaring right before kickoff. You’ll also notice added intensity in our player introductions and completely new graphics and content on the videoboards.”

Another addition is a group of fans called the “Stripes Squad” that will lead as an interactive hype team.

Of course, these changes coincide with the facelift PBS itself gets with the arrival of the inaugural Ring of Honor.

The changes come just in time too, as Paul Brown Stadium will be at full capacity next season. With fan outreach more important than ever and the team determined to heal apathetic wounds, these changes are a great first step.
