Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen surprised a lot of the league when he went from an undrafted free agent to one of the better wideouts in the NFL.

But it’s been a while since Thielen came into the league in 2013. Now, Thielen is turning 31 this August.

Thielen’s age and consistent production helped land him on CBS Sports’ NFL All-30-and-Over Offensive Teams. Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports wrote:

“Thielen is still one of the most consistent receivers in the NFL. He recorded a career-high 1,373 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2018, but then missed six games due to injury the following season. Without Stefon Diggs to work off of and him turning 30, some thought Thielen could take a step backwards, but that did not happen. Thielen put up 925 yards and a whopping 14 touchdowns — which ranked third among all receivers. His AV of 8 ranked second among all receivers considered for this list.”

Thielen finished 2020 with 14 touchdown receptions. That seems like a hard feat to follow up, but you never know what will happen when a team gets a new offensive coordinator. Maybe Klint Kubiak’s offense will help Thielen remain among the top NFL red zone targets.
