Bizarre moment a mother dyes her 14-year-old gamer-obsessed son's bath water YELLOW - and it's got a lot of Aussies scratching their heads

A TikTok video of a mother preparing a bath for her gamer obsessed 14-year-old son has left viewers baffled. 

The video shows a tub with yellow water and a laptop precariously placed on a caddy.  

A Fortnite baseball cap, minion bath bombs and other gaming toys are placed around the bath. 

The clip, titled 'gamer themed bath-time for a fussy child', has been liked more than 700,000 times but has left a lot of Aussies scratching their heads.  

While most people are shocked at the boy's age, others questioned the mother's parenting methods.

'Look I'm not saying you're a bad parent but I feel like your kid should be able to wash himself without playing Minecraft,' one commenter wrote.

Another added: 'Um, I don't want to seem rude but I think that if he's 14 he should be able to have a bath without all that stuff'. 

The video's creator, bigjohns, hit back at the questions. 

She wrote: 'I do this so that he can get excited for baths and showers and make it fun to wash. When he only washes three times a week, got to be fun!'

Other users defended the mum's motives. 

'Your heart is in the right place, but maybe a bit of tough love is necessary. He will expect you to baby him for his entire life,' one user added.

Bigjohns has also made a reply video to the negative reactions, telling everyone to be quiet and let her parent the way she wants to parent.

'Just so you all know, my kid is fine, I just am a loving mum who wants to keep him happy and give him everything he desires,' bigjohns said.

'I wan't to make sure he is protected from all you bullies in this world and I just think you should all be quiet and let me parent the way I want to parent, and if it makes my son happy you can all just go away'.
