Dustin Poirier to auction off Jake Paul's 'Sleepy McGregor' custom chain for charity

Mixed martial artist Dustin Poirier is reportedly in the process of accepting a custom chain depicting Conor McGregor and will auction the piece off for charity, ESPN said on Tuesday.

According to ESPN, YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul had the custom piece made back in January to depict McGregor being TKO'd by Poirier in UFC 257. Paul reportedly wore the chain to UFC 264 in Las Vegas last weekend, when Poirier defeated McGregor again after the Irishman broke his leg in the first round.

Paul told ESPN the chain cost around $100,000 to make. He also said he and Poirier brokered the deal to exchange the chain via social media.

There is no word yet which charity Poirier, a well-known philanthropist, will donate the chain to. Poirier and his wife, Jolie, started The Good Fight Foundation back in 2018 to aid underserved communities in his home state of Louisiana.

Paul offered McGregor $50 million back in December to square off in a boxing match. After McGregor's second straight loss to Poirier, Paul has said the offer is now down to $23 million.

"He's just lost it," Paul said about McGregor on Tuesday. "He's an actor now. I think it's all an act. And Dustin Poirier was the one to expose that."
