Timothée Chalamet and co-star Tilda Swinton appear in good spirits as they lark around at The French Dispatch photocall at the Cannes Film Festival

Timothée Chalamet and Tilda Swinton appeared in good spirits as they attended a photocall for The French Dispatch at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Tuesday.

The actors posed playfully together at the event where they were joined by the film's director Wes Anderson and co-stars Bill Murray, Adrian Brody, Benicio Del Toro and Lyna Khoudri.  

Tilda, 60, cut a stylish figure for the day, donning a bright blue blazer which she paired with matching trousers.

The actress added height to her frame with a pair of silver heels while her platinum blonde locks were in her trademark cropped style.  

Timothée, 25, opted for a laid back look for the event, sporting a printed off-white T-shirt which he wore with black trousers tucked into matching boots.  

Wes donned a pale blue shirt while Bill sported a printed short-sleeved shirt with blue shorts and a white hat. 

Wes Anderson's The French Dispatch follows a group of journalists and is based on the writings of The New Yorker.

Set in a fictional 20th-century French city, the anthology follows the development of a series of stories published in the titular magazine, and it opens with editor Arthur Howitzer Jr. (Bill Murray) on the paper's last day.

The film was originally set to premiere at the 2020 edition of the Cannes Film Festival, however due to the Covid-19 pandemic the event had to be postponed.

One of the film's stars Lea Seydoux, 36, has tested positive for Covid-19 forcing her to miss the premiere.

As well as The French Dispatch, Lea appears in The Story Of My Wife, France, and Deception which are all set to debut over the coming days.

It is unclear which film set Lea was working on when she contracted the virus, as she is said to be in pre-production for two films, Crimes of the Future and Le Bal des Folles.

According to a report from Variety, the Blue is the Warmest Colour star got the virus on set of her new film despite having both doses of the vaccine and being asymptomatic.

A spokesperson for Lea confirmed to the publication that she had tested positive for the virus, and stated she will remain in quarantine until her doctors have advised her it is safe for her to travel.

Cannes Film Festival’s general secretary Francois Desrousseaux informed Variety that those attending the festival are tested on a daily basis, and an average of three people per day have been positive cases.

The actress, 41, was joined by the film's director Valdimar Johansson along with co-stars Hilmir Snaer Guonason and Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson.

Noomi looked sensational in a printed long-sleeved jumpsuit which featured a sequined detail.

The actress also sported a green shirt with gold stripes and added to her outfit with gold earrings.

Styling her brunette locks into an updo, she completed her look for the day with a light pallet of makeup.
