Newlywed Emma Bunton has upcoming £3.2MILLION payday
Newlywed Emma Bunton has a secret wedding present for herself and her new husband - an imminent £3million cash payday.
The Spice Girls singer, 45, has nearly £3.4million in cash in a limited company which she has begun to close, MailOnline has learned.
She owes nearly £200,000 in tax for last year on the company which she named Monsta Touring Limited, but after that deduction she will be left with the rest of the cash - some £3.2million - to spend.
The revelation comes as Emma revealed that she had finally married her longtime partner Jade Jones after being together over 20 years.
Emma shared the news of their secret ceremony on Instagram on Tuesday, posting a stunning snap of herself in a short white dress with her new husband, 42.
Emma and singer-turned-chef Jade, who have been dating since the nineties and announced their engagement in 2011, have two children, Beau, 13, and Tate, 10.
It's unclear why Emma decided to wind her business - or whether she is raising funds for a new house for married life or an upgrade of their existing large home in an affluent area of north London.
But she has appointed a liquidator to handle the closure and he has signed off a declaration that the company will be able to pay any money it owes.
The company channels Emma's Spice Girls cash which was boosted by the Spice Girls reunion gigs.
MailOnline has contacted Emma's representatives for comment.
Emma is not alone at making a fortune from the tour with Geri Horner, 48, making £3.1 million and Sporty Spice Melanie Chisholm, 46, making £2.8 million.
Even Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, 46, was believed to receive a share of the group's lucrative tour even though she did not take part.
Emma said recently on the subject of future projects with the group: 'Hopefully there are still some quite exciting things coming from the Spice Girls.
'Fingers crossed we can do some more shows. We would love to do more live stuff as well. To do more international shows would be a dream.'
A song from the band's early demos in 1996 was recently released to mark the 25th anniversary of their massive hit Wannabe.
Emma shared the happy news of her nuptials on Instagram on Tuesday, posting a stunning snap of herself in a short white dress with her new husband, 42.
Emma looked incredible in her short white gown which featured semi-sheer sleeves and a train attached as a cape, with her also donning a stunning floral headband.
R&B singer-turned-chef Jade also cut a dapper figure for his big day, rocking a Gucci blazer and cream chinos as well as a brown trilby hat.
The newlyweds could not hide their delight as they posed for a snap surrounded by a stunning flower arch and smiled at each other.
Alongside the lovely picture shared to her social media accounts, beautiful bride Emma excitedly penned: 'Mr and Mrs Jones!'
Jade shared the same message and a full-length snap from their wedding day showing off the back of Emma's stunning caped gown.
The happy couple's pals were quick to send their congratulations, with Laura Whitmore leaving a heart emoji and Nicole Appleton also sending her love.
The All Saints singer penned: 'Just wonderful! Congratulations to you all!! Sooo beautiful. Sending so much love'.
While Keith Lemon commented on Jade's post, joking: 'Lovely. Big congratulations... Can I borrow that jacket Jade?'
Emma's Spice Girls bandmates also shared their excitement in the comments with Mel B simply penning 'yippeeee' and Mel C writing 'soooooo much love'.
Emma has previously discussed her wedding plans during her 23-year relationship with Jade, saying they've always wanted to tie the knot privately.
During an interview with Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2 in 2018, Emma explained that they would 'love' to wed but they're terrible at organising and want it to be private.
Asked if she was getting married, Emma said: 'Well, no, I'm not... no we're not, we would love to actually and we have talked about it.
'We try to, but we want it to be private, every time we try it's out there. We want to do it privately on our own.'
She jokingly added at the time: 'We should elope, but we can't organise anything Jade and me, we've been together 21 years in this business.'
Emma and Jade have been together for 23 years, they first got together in 1998, but split a year later before reuniting for good in 2004 and welcoming their sons.
And just last month, Emma revealed that she and Jade would love to have more children.
The famous couple have been thinking about growing their family for the last year, despite fertility issues, which include perimenopause symptoms and endometriosis.
Appearing on ITV's Lorraine, the singer admitted that they would be happy to have another baby as she is 'always, always broody'.
Emma was appearing on the show to promote her new book, Mama You Got This, and she spoke about the possibility of expanding their family.
She said: 'I'm always, always broody!' Jade, he would have lots more children.'
The Baby Spice persona continued, admitting: 'I think we are at the stage where we are very much like, if it happens it would be amazing.'
The Heart Radio DJ then mused: 'But we're always broody, both of us!'
Earlier in June, Emma revealed in an interview with You Mag that she is worried it could be too late for her to conceive naturally, as she is now perimenopausal.
She told the magazine: 'I cried my eyes out. I thought, 'Is this the end?''
Describing the symptoms of perimenopause, which is the body's natural transition towards menopause, Emma said: 'I started to feel unbalanced and anxious.'
'At first I put it down to the pandemic, but then the anxiety became more regular, until it was daily.'
Emma researched her symptoms, which also included tiredness, and realised it could have been perimenopause.
The Wannabe hitmaker then spoke with a medical professional via Zoom 'who came to the same conclusion. I was perimenopausal.'
The singer is prepared for either outcome, admitting that she had difficulties conceiving her two kids Beau and Tate.
'But [with] both my children, it wasn't easy falling pregnant, so we'll just see how it goes,' she revealed on the show.
She was also diagnosed with endometriosis in her mid 20s– a condition the NHS describes where tissue similar to the lining of the womb begins to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Speaking about Mama You Got This, she admitted that she was moved to tears by Jade's contribution.
She said: 'His piece in this book made me cry because he's so honest...
'He's saying how those first couple of weeks, months, when you're breastfeeding - it's a very close moment for the mum and baby.'
His contribution detailed 'how he had to step back even though he just wanted to do everything,' Emma said.
'He was so wonderful because he looked after me, he took care of me and then was just there every second of every minute and he's brilliant.'
