Tennessee nurse shocks and confuses TikTok users with her VERY uncanny resemblance to Taylor Swift - and even has some viewers convinced the pop star does her laundry in the bathtub

• Ashley, Taylor's singer's Nashville, Tennessee-based doppelgänger, went viral on TikTok last week 
• She shared a video explaining that she didn't have a washing machine or dryer and did her laundry in the tub
• Confused viewers thought she was Taylor, 31, and flooded her with views and comments
• Ashley later shared a video of her daughter agreeing that mom looks like Taylor, plus another clip where she copies the star's red lipstick look 

Thousands of TikTok users were surprised and confused to come across a video of Taylor Swift explaining how she does her laundry in the bathtub — until realizing the woman in the video was just a very good lookalike.

Ashley, the singer's Nashville, Tennessee-based doppelgänger, went viral last week with a video in which she explains that she doesn't have a washing machine or dryer, so she does her laundry with detergent in a bathtub.  

Many of the video's 2.5 million viewers were baffled by the clip, convinced that it was posted by Swift herself — prompting Ashley to assure them that she is 'in no way, shape, or form a celebrity.'

In the clip, Ashley's resemblance to Taylor is uncanny as she dances into her bathroom.

The nurse's hair is up in a ponytail, her slightly curled bangs identical to the singer's and her big lashes and slightly pink lips completing the illusion. 

A caption on the screen reads, 'How have you been doing your laundry without a washer and dyer?'

Ashley dances around until the camera shows a large tub behind her with Tide detergent on the ledge.

'I do not recommend doing 3 loads in one day. Rinse repeat. I am done,' she wrote.

Someone quickly scrolling through TikTok could easily be fooled into thinking it was the Folklore singer herself showing off her labor-heavy laundry routine — and many did.

'Taylor Swift in my FYP doing laundry in her tub,' wrote one commenter. 

'Lol Taylor Swift is gonna be like "When did I make this video?" wrote another. 

'Low key, did a double take. Totally thought u were Taylor Swift,' added a third, while a fourth said, 'How come you still have time to wash your clothes when you already really busy in recording a lot of albums?' 

Dozens of commenters chimed in with jokes, with one asking how she got on 'Taylor Laundry Tok' and another referencing the star's new recording of Fearless: 'Taylor Swift (Not Taylor's Version).'

'Looks like an American singer,' said one more, referencing a line from the Folklore song Invisible String. 

Later, Ashley responded to viewers she fooled, pointing out that those who really thought she was Taylor should have read her username.

'When millions of people think Taylor Swift does her laundry in her bathtub & don't even think to read the screen name,' she wrote.

For this clip, she dressed as Red album-era Taylor with a bold red lipstick.

But even her own daughter sees the resemblance. In another video, the little girl says her mom looks like the star.

'She was scrolling through Netflix and saw Miss Americana and yelled "Daddy! Is that mommy on TV?!"' Ashley said.

Ashley has gone viral for her resemblance to Taylor before, including once last year on the app.

She's also not the first Swift clone to wow social media users. In 2015, then-19-year-old New South Wales resident Olivia Sturgiss went viral for her lookalike status.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Olivia admitted at the time that she liked to play up the resemblance.

'I think it's just the facial structure. I've got small eyes and bigger lips like her,' she explained. 

'I got my hair cut consciously like hers but everything else is just sort of coincidental,' Olivia added. 'The clothing and stuff — we've actually got pretty similar taste. I don't really consciously dress like her.'

'I wear red lipstick because it's a Taylor Swift concert,' she continued, speaking about glamming up for the live shows. 'Sometimes I won't wear makeup at all and still get told I look like her.'

These days, OIivia is back to her reddish hair and no longer looks like Taylor most of the time,
