Party Plane! Woman Flirts, Drinks, Stands At Galley For More Than Half An Hour. Flight Attendant Doesn’t Care.

ATLANTA, GA (BocaNewsNow.com) — A Delta Airlines Flight Attendant told a reporter Monday that her most important job is serving alcohol to the first class cabin, not enforcing mask compliance.
BocaNewsNow.com was on board Delta Flight 1678 from San Antonio, Texas to Atlanta on Monday when a woman stood up from row 2 and planted herself next to a man who she seemingly was quite interested in meeting. The man sat in row 1. Several passengers continued on to Fort Lauderdale.
For more than 30 minutes, documented over several photos, the woman stood on the Delta (NYSE: DAL) flight with a drink in her hand and her mask nowhere to be seen. Passengers suggested to the first class flight attendant that she enforce the federal mask mandate that the crew announced repeatedly — as well as a general policy against standing near the front galley — but she refused to do so. Instead, the flight attendant, seen below, frequently tapped the woman on her back multiple times and repeatedly said, “you’re good. you’re good.”
After roughly 30 minutes, a flight attendant from another part of the plane appeared to reassign herself to the first class cabin. She gave the woman a paper mask, then repeatedly told her to put it over her nose. That flight attendant made announcements reminding passengers about the mask mandate, and that a failure to comply could result in fines, penalties, and a flying ban.
While the woman shown in the photos above and below was not aggressive, it is yet another reminder of the issues flying in the summer of 2021.
The FAA continues to impose fines valued at tens of thousands of dollars against travelers who refuse to comply with the mask mandate on airplanes.
Delta, for its part, was considered a leader in COVID-era flying, blocking all middle seats for roughly a year. But Delta’s PR-friendly safety stunt is now giving way to flight attendants who are looking the other way.
Delta did not immediately respond to a query from BocaNewsNow.com about whether the airline now considers alcohol service to be more important than mask mandate enforcement. The airline also did not address questions about its current policy on standing for an extended period of time in the front of the plane.
