Former President Donald Trump attended UFC 264 in Las Vegas on Saturday night, where Conor McGregor faced off against Dustin Poirier in the main event.
The 45th president arrived to a mix of cheers and boos, according to videos posted to social media.

Trump was expected to be one of several celebrities to show up at T-Mobile Arena. Others included singer Justin Bieber, actress Megan Fox, and comedian Dave Chappelle.

UFC President Dana White told TMZ that Trump “won’t hide in a box” and would sit right behind him near the octagon.

“He and I have been friends for over 20 years,” White said ahead of the fight. “And he’s a huge fight fan, not just UFC. He’s a fight fan. He likes fighting like I like fighting.”
McGregor, like White, has voiced praise for Trump. The fighter tweeted that Trump was a “phenomenal president” in 2020 after the former president congratulated him for a win.
Poirier went on to win by TKO at the end of the first round after McGregor injured his leg.
