A Starship robot was run over by a garbage truck on Thursday, police say.

The truck was driving in an alley between 2nd and N. Russell Streets the same time the Starship was going across a crosswalk. The driver didn't see the Starship before it was run over, Purdue police Capt. Song Kang said.

The extent of the damage to the Starship is unknown at this time.
