July 2 (UPI) -- Christen Press scored twice and the United States Women's National Team dominated Mexico for a 4-0 shutout victory in the team's second-to-last tune up match for the Tokyo Olympics.

Press scored a goal in each half Thursday at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn. Midfielder Sam Mewis and striker Tobin Heath scored the other two goals for the United States.

The win extended the Americans' unbeaten streak to 43 games, which ties the second-longest undefeated streak in team history.

The Americans drew first blood in the 21st minute. Forward Megan Rapinoe intercepted a pass from the Mexico defense to spark the score. Rapinoe then dribbled through defenders and sent a short pass to midfielder Kristie Mewis.

Mewis turned and fired another pass to her sister, who took two taps and buried a shot just inside the right post.

Sam went on to set up the next score in the 39th minute. She dribbled above the box and sent a through ball onto Rapinoe during that exchange. Rapinoe used her first touch to send a short pass about five yards in front of the net.

Press finished the play with a point-blank range tap in past Mexico goalie Emily Alvarado.

Heath entered the game as a 73rd-minute substitute for Rapinoe and scored less than a minute later. Alex Morgan stole the ball from Mexico at midfield to spark that score. The star forward turned and fired a pass ahead for Heath, who took a touch to the outside and ripped a 30-yard shot past Alvarado for a 3-0 lead.

Press scored for a second time about 10 minutes later. Left back Tierna Davidson lifted a cross from the left of the Mexico box to find the forward for that score. Press finished the play with a right-footed flick past Alvarado.

The U.S. women face Mexico again in their final tune up match at 5 p.m. EDT Monday in Hartford. The match airs on ESPN.

The Americans start play for the postponed 2020 Summer Games against Sweden on July 21 in Tokyo.
