For me, success means living [how I like] and doing what I like, it is finally my reality and I feel very lucky. But if there is a secret that has worked for me, it would be foolishness, the act of never taking my hands off of the reins, of understanding that this career is a journey more than anything. Sure there are more talented and more beautiful people out there with better ideas, but this career is a long-distance race and I have the personality to endure what is needed to stay afloat. No! I think it is dangerous to think about that. Nacho Libre was filmed mainly in Mexico, it was my first film and I think I was too young to understand the scope of it. The most difficult thing is to be in this moment, to sustain a trajectory. That‘s why I said prepare yourself as much as possible, because sometimes I feel like I am swimming upstream, trying not to get left behind. I realize that I have not had the training that I would have liked to have.

“Acting is odd,” she ponders. “You can‘t just rehearse every day like a musician. You have to work on your well-being, at watching films, at reading theater, at reading poetry, at watching productions, you have to constantly prepare yourself and be very disciplined. All of that will lead you to where you want to be.

I don‘t know, maybe what I like, you don’t like. What I recommend is reading a lot of biographies. If you like acting or singing, pay close attention to what the people you admire have done, how they did it, the things they have been through. I love Jane Fonda. Anything that comes out about her, interviews or anything, I always read because it inspires me so much.

La verdad es que yo consumo más primero, comedia, después drama, son los dos géneros que siempre más me han gustado. El terror lo veía, me divierte, no me da miedo y las películas de acción era lo que menos me atraía. El terror es más divertido de filmar y la acción mucho más complicada, más pesada, por los tiempos, etc. Pero la satisfacción de verlo al final todo junto es como WOW, te ves como si realmente estuvieras haciendo algo que nunca harías. Como actor, es cuándo más alejado te ves de realidades que vives tú. Yo soy cero de stunts y cosas así, por eso para mí es súper divertido verme de esa manera y me encantaría seguir haciéndolo.

As an actor, it is when you see yourself farthest from reality that you feel most alive. I am 0% about stunts and things like that, so for me it is super fun to see myself in that light and I would love to continue doing it.
