(ELIZABETH, N.J.) During the Fourth of July weekend, a replica of the Statue of Liberty will be visible in New Jersey as it arrived on Wednesday from France, according to ABC 7.

The 9-foot tall bronze, dubbed "Little Lady Liberty" statue arrived in the same manner as the original and through the same path as well.

The smaller replica, which is the one-16th size of the original, was received by a New York City Fire Department water cannon as it arrived on the cargo ship CMA CGM NERVAL.

"Little Lady Liberty" weighs 1,000 pounds and was docked in Elizabeth, where New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy was waiting with French Ambassador Philippe Etienne and other officials, per ABC 7.

The statue will be visible from the New York Harbor, where it will spend Independence Day looking out at the original statue from July 1 through 5.

It is then slated to move to Washington D.C., where it will be installed at the French ambassador's residence just before Bastille Day, July 14.

According to ABC 7, the statue took a nine-day voyage from France, where it was admired over the last decade in Paris at the entrance of the Musée des Arts et Métiers, the National Museum of Arts and Crafts.
