The Colorado Rockies recalled left-hander Ben Bowden from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday and placed right-hander Robert Stephenson on the 10-day injured list with upper back tightness.
Bowden, 26, made his major league debut earlier this season and is 1-2 with a 7.94 ERA in 21 appearances out of the Colorado bullpen.
A second-round pick by the Rockies in the 2016 draft, Bowden has struck out 18 batters, walked 12 and allowed three home runs in 17 innings this season.

Stephenson, 28, last pitched on June 18 in a 6-5, 10-inning win against the Milwaukee Brewers. He is 0-1 with a 4.56 ERA in 27 relief appearances. He has fanned 27 and walked 13 in 23 2/3 innings, giving up four homers.
Stephenson’s career totals include a 10-14 record with one save and a 5.09 ERA in 131 games (22 starts) with the Cincinnati Reds (2016-20) and Rockies.
