Ronald Troyke Named As Olde Town Arvada Shooter
ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Ronald Troyke, 59, was identified as the man accused of opening fire in Olde Towne Arvada on Monday afternoon. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office says Troyke suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Arvada police say Troyke ambushed an Arvada police officer, Gordon Beesley, near 57th Avenue and Old Wadsworth Boulevard. Another man, John Hurley, also died. He was described by police as a good Samaritan and hero.
An autopsy on Troyke is expected to take at least six weeks. The cause and manner of death will be released in that report, the coroner's office says.
