ATLANTA, GA — Christian City will be holding the 2021 Community Champion Awards on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at the Georgia Aquarium.

It is an event that will honor individuals and businesses that show outstanding leadership and commitment toward the Atlanta community.

There are three categories that will be honored by the award; Individual, Nonprofit, and Corporate.

The designated Individual award recipient is Dan Cathy. He is a Chairman and CEO of Chick-fil-A, known for his commitment to giving around the community in Atlanta for a long time. His volunteer and philanthropic works show his dedication to helping metro Atlanta societies, as well as his work with many ministries and nonprofits groups that have changed the life of many people.

For the Nonprofit award, 100 Black Men of Atlanta is the designated recipient of the honor. 100 Black Men of Atlanta is acknowledged for its dedication to support and enhance the economy and education of African Americans in Atlanta. It spotlights public policy, social, and health issues impacting the metro Atlanta youth.

Finally, The Home Depot is the designated recipient of the Corporate award. The Home Depot has brought a positive impact on thousands of people by funding communities, providing houses for veterans, responding to areas ruined by natural disasters, and supporting front-line COVID-19 workers.

This year's award will be hosted by Monica Pearson, a television and radio broadcaster. The event will start at 5.30 PM with Social Hour and Silent Auction, continued with Dinner and the main award program at 7 PM.
