The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 68 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday.
Out of 6,763 test results received over the past day, 19% returned positive, as the 14-day rolling average of positives remained at 0.8%.
The agency reported no new deaths Sunday, leaving the death toll since the pandemic began at 3,771. San Diego County has had 281,749 total COVID-19 cases.
The county held Sunday at 85.8% of the goal to fully vaccinate 2.1 million local residents. Officials have nearly 305,000 doses on hand.
Nationwide, as of this weekend, 45% of the U.S. population was fully vaccinated, up from 26% two months ago, according to the Mayo Clinic.
In the U.S. there have been 33.5 million COVID-19 cases and 601,826 deaths during the pandemic, as reported by the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.
