Jackson Township police identify 4 family members found dead in suspected triple homicide/suicide

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Jackson Township police have identified the four family members who were found dead after authorities say a domestic dispute turned deadly on Sunday.

Around 4:09 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, the Jackson Township Police Department was summoned to the 6800 block of Salerno St. NW to perform a welfare check. When the police arrived, they discovered four members of the same family, all deceased. According to authorities, there are no other persons believed to be involved at this time.

The victims, who all died from gunshot wounds, were identified by police as:

  • Nicholas Mavrakis, 47
  • Lesley Mavrakis, 37
  • Ace Mavrakis, 13
  • Pippa Mavrakis, 5

The matter is being investigated as a triple homicide/suicide, Jackson Township Police said.

Neighbors and relatives told News 5 that Nicholas Mavrakis was a U.S. Army veteran.

Jackson Local School District Superintendent Chris DiLoreto released the following statement:

Jackson Township police did not release any more details on the the investigation or a possible motive.
