SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Investigators are asking for the public’s help as they try to determine whether a man and woman charged in the murder of a 6-year-old boy on a Southern California freeway were involved in any other road rage incidents.
Marcus Eriz and his girlfriend, Wynne Lee, were arrested earlier this month in the May 21 killing of Aiden Leos on State Route 55.
Eriz was charged with murder and Lee with being an accessory after the fact. Both entered not-guilty pleas through their attorneys.
Prosecutors suspect Eriz brandished a gun at the driver of a blue Tesla during a separate road rage incident that took place just days after the killing, the Orange County Register reported Saturday.
Now the Orange County District Attorney’s office has set up a tip line for anyone with information involving any other similar incidents involving Eriz or Lee.
Aiden Leos was shot to death while riding in his mother’s car on his way to school. Authorities have said the mother was cut off by another car, prompting her to make a hand gesture. Authorities allege that Eriz, riding in a car driven by Lee, pulled out a gun and shot at the woman’s vehicle, killing the boy.
The killing sparked outrage and led hundreds of people to call in tips that led to the arrests.
