LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Bayshore Fire Rescue Chief Larry Nisbet will retire from the department in September. Chief Nisbet served early in his career as a firefighter with the department for two years. Bayshore Fire Officials said he also served as a fire commissioner for four years and as the chief for the last 13 years. He will work alongside Chief Underwood for the next 20 days for a seamless transition, fire officials said. On June 29, Chief Nisbet will officially step down for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.
