It was the worst housewarming gift ever.

A man moving into an upscale Queens neighborhood found a human leg bone hidden inside a closet in his new home, police said.

The 23-year-old resident was moving his clothes from one closet to another inside his Jamaica Estates house near the corner of Edgerton Blvd. and Henley Road around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday when he found the bone wedged behind a shelf.

He took the bone outside and called 911, cops said.

The city Medical Examiner’s office determined that the remains were human, but had been used as a “teaching specimen.” Investigators found no evidence linking it to any crime, officials said.

No other remains were found in the home, police said.
