Denis Leary sitcom 'Moodys' canceled after two seasons

June 18 (UPI) -- The family sitcom, The Moodys, isn't getting a third season on Fox.

The show stars Denis Leary and Elizabeth Perkins as a long-time married couple, and Jay Baruchel, Chelsea Frei and Francois Arnaud as their adult children.

The series finale is expected to air on Fox Sunday.

According to Variety, Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter, the show is ending due to low ratings.

Season 1 featured six episodes and debuted in 2019.

Season 2, which included eight episodes, premiered in April 2021.

Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg and Tad Quill were the show's writers and executive producers.
