Oscar De La Hoya has reportedly agreed to an exhibition boxing match with former UFC champion Vitor Belfort, becoming the latest retired former champion to return to the ring against a novice.
The fight is set for September 11 and will 'likely' take place in Las Vegas, according to The Athletic's Mike Coppinger. A spokesperson for Golden Boy Promotions, De La Hoya's company, did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for confirmation.
De La Hoya's return to the ring follows that of Floyd Mayweather Jr., who, according to Sportico, earned at least $35 million for his recent eight-round exhibition bout with YouTube star Logan Paul.

De La Hoya, who was trained by Floyd Sr., has not fought since losing to Manny Pacquiao in 2008, a year after dropping a split decision to the younger Mayweather.
