Highway 40 back open after two-vehicle crash

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

According to Boone County Joint Communications, West Highway 40 at Henderson road was closed after a trash vehicle collided with a car earlier this morning.

Two people were in the trash vehicle at the time of the incident. One female was transported to University Hospital with moderate injuries, and a Volkswagen was towed from the scene.

Traffic was being diverted for about an hour.

Boone County Fire is still investigating at this time.
