On Monday evening, a Seattle woman lost her life following a suspected DUI-related accident involving two cars on Highway 99.
The woman, 35, was a passenger in a 1990 Toyota Corolla steered by a Marysville man, as per the Washington State Patrol. They were traveling south on the highway just north of Highway 525 at about 10:19 p.m. when the car crossed a concrete divider into northbound traffic and crashed into a 2017 Toyota RAV4 SUV.
Authorities took the suspected intoxicated driver in custody for investigation of vehicular homicide. Authorities have not provided any further information about the crash and the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed.
