Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain did not manage to make an impact on Liverpool last season and it seems he has fallen out of favour with Jurgen Klopp, spending the majority of the season on the bench.

It hasn't helped that Liverpool signed Thiago for the midfield, but even when the Spaniard was injured, Klopp seemed to prefer the youngster Curtis Jones over the 27-year-old.

Ox has only managed to play 17 games for Liverpool this season, a lot less than the 43 games he played in the last campaign for Jurgen Klopp.

With the 27-year-old playing less games, there have been reports that he could be leaving Liverpool this summer in search of more game time.

The main club the Englishman has been linked with is West Ham, it would mean a return to London where he spent a large part of his career with Arsenal.

However, if Ox did want to move on this summer, Liverpool would demand a high price for the 27-year-old. He is in his prime years and they will want to try and recoup the £34million that they paid for him in 2017.

Liverpool legend John Barnes was previously quoted saying that Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a perfect fit for Leicester City. In a recent interview with BettingOdds, Barnes was asked to comment on who he thought the Ox should join this summer.

“I think Leicester or West Ham." Barnes said "Leicester would probably be a bit better suited because they’re more stable than West Ham as they know that they will be in the top seven most seasons, which isn’t the case for West Ham.

“However if he wanted to go back down south then I think West Ham would be a good move for Alex too.”

If Ox was to move on it will be a shame. He is a fan favourite and his personality is so infectious, but if this is what's right for his family and himself then fans won't blame him.

He has blessed us with some amazing moments, including his stunner at Anfield against Manchester City, a moment a lot of Liverpool fans won't forget anytime soon.
