Multiple people thrown off motorcycle in Osage County crash on Tuesday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were thrown off a Yamaha Boulevard motorcycle on Tuesday in Osage County, after it overturned in a crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the motorcycle was trying to pass another vehicle while traveling westbound on Mo 100 West of Two Socks Trail, when it had a tire blowout. The motorcycle then drove off the right side of the road but then went back onto the road and overturned. This is when the two people on the bike were thrown off the vehicle.

Candice Alexander, 19 of Owensville, Mo. was not driving and was taken by EMS to University Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the motorcycle, Clayton Bunch, 24 of Linn had serious injuries as well and was taken by EMS to Capital Region.

According to MSHP, neither Alexander or Bunch were wearing helmet during the crash when it happened at 4:09 p.m. late Tuesday afternoon.
