Former President Trump announced on Tuesday that former Republican National Committee spokeswoman Liz Harrington would be replacing his longtime spokesman Jason Miller, who stepped down last week.
“It is an honor of a lifetime to represent President Trump and to stand for the truth,” Harrington said in the announcement. “At such a critical time for our country, President Trump’s fighting spirit is needed now more than ever. We will not stand idly by and let America fall to the Radical Left-Wing Mob.”
Harrington was a proponent of multiple unfounded claims after the 2020 election, suggesting President Biden’s strong performance in some Democratic counties was indicative of election fraud, CNN reported.
“Liz Harrington is a fighter,” Trump said in the statement. “She was an important part of our receiving more votes than any incumbent President in U.S. history, far more than we received the first time we won.”
Miller announced last week that he would be leaving his role as Trump’s chief spokesperson, reportedly to join a tech start-up company. It is unclear what company Miller joined, though officials said it belonged to the owner of a social media platform that Trump was considering joining after his permanent ban from Twitter.
“I greatly thank Jason for his service—he is outstanding!” Trump said in his statement, announcing Miller’s replacement.
