NEW DETAILS: 1 of 3 arrested after Delco Park shooting accused of trying to run over 5 people

KETTERING — Three people are facing charges after a fight and shooting near Delco Park Sunday night involving two groups of people.

Court records obtained by News Center 7 reveal new details about what police said happened that night.

Kettering Police responded to the area of the park around 11:15 p.m. after two groups of people got into a fight.

Officers said the two groups appeared to meet at Delco Park to fight.

“The physical fight escalated, eventually to attempted vehicular assaults and finally shots were fired into an occupied vehicle at the end of that incident,” said Officer Tyler Johnson with Kettering Police.

Police arrested J’Kavian Flowers, 24; J’Kira Flowers, 23; and Levi Agnew, 23, following the incident.

J’Kira Flowers was charged with five counts of felonious assault and single counts of obstructing justice, assault and aggravated menacing, according to court records.

J’Kira Flowers was accused of trying to run over five people with the Chrysler 300 she was driving and then threated to shoot the people, court records read.  Police said she then got out of the car and started punching one of the men through the window of his car.

J’Kavian Flowers was accused of firing a gun at two people and then tried to run from a police officer when he showed up at the scene.  He ended up being charged with two counts of felonious assault and single counts of tampering with evidence and obstructing official business.

“It appears it was pretty close range when the shots were fired into a vehicle that was occupied,” Johnson said.

Agnew was cited with obstructing official business.

No one was injured during the fight and shooting, police said.
