Two adults found dead in Seattle homeless encampment fire

SEATTLE — An early morning fire at a homeless encampment on Wednesday killed an unidentified man and woman, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

The fire, located at the 3000 block of 25th Ave S. was called in just after 3 a.m.

When crews arrived, there were flames 50-feet high, consuming nearby trees and bushes, from an encampment structure made of pallets and tarps.

Until autopsies are completed, the fire has been ruled as “undetermined.”

After crews put out the fire, a search of the burned-down encampment discovered the remains of two adults.
