Simone Biles to headline gymnastic tour coming to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — If you have ever wanted the chance to see the world’s top gymnasts perform in person, including the most decorated gymnast of all time, mark your calendar for Oct. 27 when the “Gold Over America Tour” makes a stop at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center.

The tour is described as a high-energy, gymnastics-meets-pop-concert spectacular and will feature an all-star team of female gymnastic champions, including headliner Simone Biles.

Face masks covering both the nose and mouth are required for all fans age 5 and older at all times while inside the Spectrum Center, except when actively eating or drinking at a designated seating location. Neck gaiters, bandanas or masks with valves or vents are not permitted.

Gymnasts scheduled to join Biles include her Tokyo teammates Jade Carey, who won gold in floor exercise; Jordan Chiles and Grace McCallum, who won silver for team competition; and MyKayla Skinner who won silver in vault.

Previously announced participants include 2016 Rio gold and silver medalist and “Dancing with the Stars” champion Laurie Hernandez; All-American, NCAA National Champion and viral video sensation Katelyn Ohashi; winner of three gold medals in 2019 and 2020 at the Tokyo World Cup Morgan Hurd; former Olympian and USA Gymnastics Women’s Athlete of the Year Chellsie Memmel; elite gymnast Shilese Jones; 2021 French Olympian Melanie De Jesus dos Santos; former Olympian and the top Canadian female gymnast of all time Ellie Black; and US National Team member from 2012-2016 and the 2018 NCAA Gymnastics Champion Nia Dennis.
