Woman Struck, Killed By Big-Rig On 210 Freeway In Glendora
GLENDORA (CBSLA) – A woman was struck and killed by a big-rig on the 210 Freeway in Glendora early Monday morning.
The collision occurred at 12:50 a.m. on the westbound 210 Freeway, just east of of Glendora Boulevard.
According to California Highway Patrol, the woman was walking on the shoulder of the freeway when she stepped into traffic and an approaching semi-truck swerved to avoid her.
The woman was struck by the trailer of the big-rig. She died at the scene. She was not immediately identified.
Glendora police officers arriving at the scene first said it appeared the woman might have suffered a gunshot wound, according to CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
The CHP issued a Sig Alert and shut down several lanes. They have since reopened.
