Son arrested in connection to mother’s murder in Lynn

LYNN, Mass. — A homicide investigation is underway following the death of an 80-year-old woman in Lynn that occurred at approximately 8:03 p.m. Friday, June 11.

The Essex County District Attorney’s office told Boston 25 that Lynn Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a deceased woman on Jenness Street in Lynn.

Upon arrival, officers found Katherine Paratore, 80, of Lynn, inside her home and suffering from multiple injuries. Officials confirmed she was pronounced dead at the scene.

He is expected to be arraigned Monday, June 14, in Lynn District Court, Essex County District Attorney’s office says.

Authorities added that her son, Alfredo Paratore, 49, who was living with his mother at the time, was later arrested and is now facing murder charges.
