Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Please report Severe Weather to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely. Target Area: Harrison FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR CENTRAL HARRISON COUNTY At 802 PM EDT, Heavy rainfall has ended although light to moderate rain is still occurring across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Minor flooding issues have been previously reported and may still be ongoing. Some locations that will experience flooding include Clarksburg, Bridgeport, Shinnston, Stonewood, Nutter Fort, Salem, Lumberport, Anmoore, Despard, Meadowbrook and Wolf Summit. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area.
