Target Area: Dinwiddie The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a * Flood Advisory for West Central Dinwiddie County in south central Virginia Nottoway County in south central Virginia * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 549 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. * Some locations that will experience flooding include Blackstone, Crewe, Nottoway, Fort Pickett, Spainville, Wilsons, Dominy Corner, Blackstone Airport, Pattersons Store, Wellville, North Wellville, Clay Store, Forkland, Irby, Murdocks, Darvills, Hebron, Fergusonville and Ford. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
