Target Area: Stokes; Surry FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR STOKES, SURRY AND YADKIN COUNTIES At 325 PM EDT, Localized rainfall of 1 to 3 inches has occurred in various spots throughout the advisory area during the past 2 to 3 hours. Flash Flood Warnings are currently in effect for Yadkin and Stokes Counties. Flooding remains a concern throughout the area because of earlier heavy rainfall in some locations. Some locations that will experience flooding include Mount Airy, Elkin, Fairview, Flat Rock, Yadkinville, Jonesville and Dobson. Additional rainfall is possible during the next several hours. Additional rainfall, especially in areas that have already received heavy rainfall could result in additional flooding. This includes the following streams and drainages Ararat River, Arnold Branch, Baker Branch, Archies Creek, Beaverdam Creek and Beaver Creek.
