3.5 Earthquake Near Watsonville Shakes Southern Santa Clara, Santa Cruz Counties
WATSONVILLE (CBS SF) -- A small earthquake shook near Watsonville early Friday morning, which was felt across southern Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.
The 3.5 magnitude quake struck at 3:45 a.m. about five miles east of Watsonville and about seven miles southwest of Gilroy, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Light shaking was felt as far west as Santa Cruz and as far north as San Jose as well as in northern Monterey County.
There were reports of any damage or injuries.
