KEY WEST, Fla. — Florida Fish and Wildlife wants to remind the public that Queen conchs are protected.
These conchs may not be harvested or sold in Florida.
FWC says some people still try to hide them.
Officers were notified by a witness that a woman was taking queen conchs and stashing them under a towel.
Officers found all five still had live animals inside.
The woman was taken into custody.
