The homicide victim has been identified as 15-year-old Cornail Hill

In an effort to identify a homicide victim who was killed on Thursday the Omaha Police Department provided a picture of the victim’s tattoo.

The tattoo depicts a basketball with text reading “Never Stop Balling.”

If you recognize the tattoo, contact the Omaha Police Homicide Unit at 402-444-5656 or contact Omaha Crime Stoppers anonymously at 402-444-STOP or onthis website.

Additionally, police can be contacted through the P3 Tips mobile app. Information leading to an arrest in a homicide is eligible for a $25,000 reward.

The investigation is ongoing.

Omaha Police say a man shot near 33rd and Laurel Ave early Thursday has died.

6/10 ORIGINAL STORY:

Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person critically injured.

Officers were called to the area of 33rd and Laurel Ave where they found the victim around 2:20 a.m.

Paramedics used CPR on the victim who they took to the Nebraska Medical Center.

So far, no word on any suspects.
