Fox News host mocks Harris’s border interview answer: ‘It’s like watching a drunk play Jenga’

.

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld had harsh words for Kamala Harris, saying watching the vice president take questions from the press is similar to “watching a drunk play Jenga.”

“It’s not that she doesn’t expect hard questions. She doesn’t even expect obvious questions,” Gutfeld said during a segment of The Five Tuesday. “She just wants to laugh over a glass of Chablis. I bet she is a barrel of laughs, but she needs some serious media training. When she’s nervous, she makes you nervous. It’s like watching a drunk play Jenga. You don’t know what’s going to happen. And it’s not like she’s hopeless. It’s that she’s hapless. It’s like she doesn’t really want to be there.”

This came in response to comments by Katie Pavlich, who speculated the vice president was caught off guard by the tougher line of questioning during an interview inquiring if she has plans to visit the border.

“I think that she honestly thought she was going to get away with saying, ‘I’ve been to the border, I’ve been to the border.’ That the media would accept that and move on,” Pavlich said. “I’m glad Lester Holt pointed out, ‘You haven’t been to the border as vice president.’”

KAMALA HARRIS IS IN WAY OVER HER HEAD, AND EVERYONE CAN SEE IT

The comments come after Harris generated headlines for the way she answered a question by NBC reporter Lester Holt asking if the vice president had any plans to visit the southern border.

“At some point, you know, we are going to the border. We’ve been to the border. So, this whole thing about the border. We’ve been to the border. We’ve been to the border,” Harris replied.

“You haven’t been to the border,” Holt said.

“And I haven’t been to Europe,” Harris replied as she began to laugh. “And I mean, I don’t understand the point that you’re making. I’m not discounting the importance of the border.”

Gutfeld said watching the exchange reminded him of the time he hosted Fox & Friends, a show he said he didn’t feel was the right fit.

“It felt like I was putting on a suit that didn’t fit,” Gutfeld said. “The suit she is wearing doesn’t fit … ‘I haven’t been to Europe!’ And then she’s laughing.”
