Seahawks' Russell Wilson, other veterans attend OTAs

Quarterback Russell Wilson may not retire as a member of the Seattle Seahawks, but it appears everyone can put any trade speculation involving the one-time Super Bowl champion signal-caller to bed until at least next winter.

Per John Boyle of the Seahawks' website, Wilson and fellow captain Bobby Wagner were among 76 total players in attendance for Monday's organized team activities. Wilson previously worked out away from the club in San Diego but teased on Sunday via his Instagram story he was flying back to Seattle to get to work ahead of next week's mandatory minicamp sessions:

Roughly two weeks ago, head coach Pete Carroll poured cold water over all trade rumors linking his QB1 with a move from the Seahawks this spring or summer, calling such talk "really old news" during an appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show." Both Carroll and general manager John Schneider told reporters before the start of this year's draft Seattle was never trading Wilson at any point following Super Bowl LV.

While disgruntled Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is reportedly skipping mandatory minicamp, Wilson seems content as it pertains to his NFL future for at least the next six months or so.
