A Moulin Rouge-style nightclub is coming to Wynwood

(MIAMI)If you are looking for a bit of glitz and glam in Miami, get ready for Wynwood’s newest burlesque-themed lounge, Le Rouge. The 7,000-square-foot venue, located at 318 NW 23rd St. — is inspired by the famed Moulin Rouge in Paris and promises to bring a sophisticated air of live entertainment to Miami’s laid-back art district.

“What we wanted to do is bring something upscale that hasn’t been provided here, something indoor, cozy.” - Le Rouge general manager, Zein Zaioud, said during an interview with Miami’s WSVN Channel 7. 

Le Rouge will be Wynwood’s first venue to feature a 360-degree DJ experience, meaning the DJ is right in the center of the lounge while the crowd surrounds the space. The venue has an elevated area for VIP seating and a live stage draped in red velvet. As for the liquor, veteran mixologist Samer Abdallah created a unique prohibition-era cocktail menu for guests. 

“We’re going to have a limited menu, about six drinks, but we’re gonning toa focus on mainly Prohibition-style classic cocktails but just with a modern twist, such as our Rouge Martini or one of our spicy margaritas,” said Zaioud.

Le Rouge Miami is set to open Friday, June 11. For its opening week, the lineup features local talent, including the Soul Brothers, Cris Cab, and Oscar G, among others, for a blend of contemporary music among a classic, cabaret-style scene.
