Two people in custody after mass shooting injures six at Ohio wake

(SPRINGFIELD, Ohio) Two people are in custody after at least six people were injured in an overnight shooting at a house in Springfield, Ohio, according to WHIO.
Springfield Police Department officers responded to a "shots fired call" before 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police Lt. Randall Ballentine said their officer found multiple individuals shot, according to CNN. The shooting marks the 243rd mass shooting in 2021, according to the Gun Violence Archive
One victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight and five others were taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center. Their conditions, per WHIO, are unknown at this time.
Investigators said people were gathering for a wake where the shooting took place for someone who died several years ago.
